Where can I watch the video and take the test?

There are eight touchscreen terminals at the Contractor Management Office in K 605; another seven are being installed at the welcome desks. You watch the video and take the test on these terminals.

How long is the video?

5 minutes at the Contractor Management Office. We are aiming for 3-4 minutes at the welcome desks. Together with the tests, you will need around 6 minutes at the Contractor Management Office, and a little less at the welcome desks.

What information will I have to provide at the terminal?

Your last name, first name, company and date of birth. This information will be used to issue your ID card.

What does the test cover?

It contains simple questions on nine safety topics: traffic rules, no smoking, no alcohol or drugs, checking in at the facility, gas alarms, evacuation alarms, emergency numbers, no electrical devices in explosion-hazard areas, no photography or video.

How many times can I retake the test?

Three times. If you fail the test three times, your client will have to meet you at the gate and be responsible for you during your stay at Industriepark Höchst.

How long will my test results be valid?

The test results are valid for one year. After a year, you have to retake the test.

Can I just take the test right away?

Yes. You can watch the video on the internet before you come to Industriepark Höchst and then take the test right away. In this case, you will need around 1-2 minutes in total.

How long will the data be stored?

The data will be stored for one year, in keeping with the validity period of your test results.

Do you offer the test in several languages?

Yes, you can choose from ten languages at the Contractor Management Office: German, English, French, Romanian, Croatian, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish.

At the welcome desks, the test is administered in German, English and French.

How long does a safety briefing take at other chemical parks?

Other industrial parks usually need 3 to 12 minutes to brief visitors and contractors.

How long will it take at Industriepark Höchst?

Around 5-6 minutes at the Contractor Management Office. We are aiming for 3-4 minutes at the welcome desks. If you watch the videos on the internet before coming to the park, you can start taking the test right away. In this case, you will need around 1-2 minutes in total.

How many contractor employees and visitors take the test?

Over 100,000 tests are taken every year at the Contractor Management Office in K 605 as part of the process of issuing contractor ID badges. Another 100,000 tests in total are administered annually to visitors at the welcome desks at the East Gate and the K 801 gate.
